Perched on a romantic hillside above the shimmering waters of Lake Como in northern Italy, Villa del Balbianello is a breathtaking setting where lush gardens, historic charm, and panoramic views create the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable wedding
You can reach Como by car: 75 min from Milan Malpensa Airport (MPX), around 90 min from Orio al Serio (Bergamo BGY), 60 min from Milano Linate (LIN).
You can also reach Como by train from Milan Central station (connected by Bus Shuttle to Malpensa and Orio, and by Public transportation to Linate) to Como San Giovanni, or from Milano Cadorna to Como Lago station.
There are three main ways to get to Bellagio from Como: ferry, bus, or car. The ferry is a scenic and charming option that takes about 46 minutes and departs from Como, while the bus, such as the C30 line, offers a cheaper but longer route (about 1 hour and 9 minutes). If you prefer flexibility, you can reach Bellagio by car via the SP583, a route of about 32 km that takes about 35 minutes.
Reminder: Passports expiring within 6 months of travel date may be denied.
We’ve chosen Bellagio as the home base for our wedding. If you’re booking an Airbnb, VRBO, or a hotel beyond our four recommendations, we suggest choosing a place within walking distance of the town center for convenience.
We recommend a minimum stay of four nights (June 15–19) to fully enjoy the wedding events. This timing allows you to settle in before the Welcome Party and avoids an early departure the morning after the wedding.
As Bellagio is a small and highly sought-after destination, particularly during peak season, we encourage securing accommodations ASAP.
Beyond the wedding day itself, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the magic of Lake Como through a handpicked selection of experiences — from timeless cultural treasures to enchanting landscapes — thoughtfully curated to ensure every moment is unforgettable
